These exotic plants may well last well over 14 days with a little care and attention. Keep out of direct sunlight and in a cooler location.

Keep the water in the vase of your Anthurium fresh. Replace the water every 3 days with cold water... keeping the water level near the top of the vase. Re-cut 1/2" from the base of each stem under water using a sharp knife... with each water change. Remove any foliage that may become submerged after re-cutting.

Add a little flower food to the vase that contains your Anthurium with each water change. Floral preservative helps to prevent bacteria growth... and feeds your flowers insuring a longer vase life.

If you run out of the flower food supplied you can make your own cut flower food mix 1/2 teaspoon of table sugar to a 2 pints of cold water... mixing thoroughly.

Anthuriums are usually sold by the stem with stem lengths varying by variety.

The Anthurium family is quite large containing over 600 varieties of plants that are used as house plants and cut flowers. Anthuriums are quite hardy. They'll usually look great long after the other fresh flowers have perished. To get the most from your Anthurium... submerge the entire blossom in cool water for 15 minutes daily, then return it to the arrangement.
