Solidago is also known as "Golden Rod" and mistakenly called Solidaster. Solidaster is a hybrid cross of Solidago canadensis and Aster ptarmiciodes... which has larger flowers than the Solidago commonly used in the floral trade. Vase life is good with Solidago stems lasting 7 to 10 days depending on age and environmental conditions.
